If you are a man, a dark business suit, white shirt, and conservative tie will do. If you can't afford a suit, then dark slacks, a dress shirt and tie is acceptable. Go easy on the after shave and jewelry. No service pins or sports team logos. You may be wearing a USMC pin. The guy in front of you may be Navy. This isn't the time to create antagonism. If you are a woman, the same principals apply. Easy on the perfume. Dress conservatively. If you have long hair, wear it any way you want, so long as it looks professional.
